Free Fanu / Lightless giveaway: two new dnb tracks

Howdy ya’ll.
I hope you’re feeling all springy and enjoying some sun wherever it is that you happen to live!

It’s sure getting all sunny here in Helsinki.
In spite of having been absolutely kicked in the jaw and nuts by the recent influenza wave here, I’m feeling all springy and happy myself as I wanted to give you something.
I want to “give something back to the community”, to my fans, who always have faith in what I do and whose comments warmed my heart to a great extent in the middle of the coldest winter.

Here’s two tracks I was working on a while.
Originally, I was planning to make an EP out of these, but once again, I got buried in other work (non-music-life work), and the idea kind of dragged.
And now that I have a little more time again, I get the feeling that I want to clear the desk and move on, you know?
Sometimes you want a fresh start and you feel that you want to get all the old stuff out of the way: to get going with new stuff, you need to deal with the old.

So what’d be better than just give these tracks to those who I originally planned releasing them for.
At least they’re fresh out of the oven, lemme tell you that!

There’s a track called “Trouble” that lends itself to a great extent to mid-nineties d&b.
I let some of the breakwork intentionally loose for that old effect.
The Soul Pride break, subbass, and some samples thrown in for a good measure.
I hope you can find a bit of springtime vibe in there somewhere.

Then there’s “Desert“, a deeper breakbeat workout that sounds a little more contemporary, still having that old edge to it.
Going a little deeper with this one.

So yeah, these are truly free, so you don’t have to pay anything.
